What a blessing to have the opportunity to meet Kevin along his journey. What an amazing young man! Follow Kevin’s journey at www.kevinppayne.com – Kristie (4/3)

(Kev) was great with our Belle yesterday at lunch and I think she found herself a new friend. What he’s doing for all of the WS community is indescribable and I don’t know how many ways we could say thank you to him. I told him yesterday he is what a true role model is and I’m honored our daughter was able to meet him. All the professional athletes should learn from him, how to give from your heart for others instead of worrying about how much money they can earn to blow on ridiculous stuff. I’m sure you’re extremely proud of him. Our family and church will continue praying for him to have a safe journey and we look forward to following his trip and sharing what he’s doing with others – (Tonya to Debbie 4/3)

…Had lunch with some of our local Williams Syndrome families and met Kevin Payne, the young man that is biking across the USA to raise awareness for Williams Syndrome… Belle has definitely made a new friend in Kevin and loved seeing her other WS friends… what an exciting day, made lots of great memories and have quite a few stories to share with Belle when she gets older…
Thank you Kevin for sharing your day with our family, allowing us to be a part of your journey cross country, for raising awareness for Williams Syndrome and showing so much support for all of the WS families, your brother is truly blessed with an awesome little brother… you’re an inspiration to others and as I told you I feel professional athletes could definitely learn a thing or two from you, your dedication, you’re a REAL positive role model and I’m honored our daughter was able to meet you and spend time with you. – Tonya 4/3

Lots of good thoughts and prayers for safe travels on Kevin’s amazing journey for the WS Community! See you in Folkston!!!!! – Debby

Yes, we will be keeping Kevin in our thoughts and prayers!! Hugs to all of you!! – Marilyn

Best of luck to Kevin! Will be following along! – Sarah

Wishing him all the best!!! Peace and no worries for Mom too!!- Karen

Now your BIG JOURNEY is over and we are so proud of you and thankful to God that you made it safely home.
SO NOW – your BIGGEST JOURNEY IS YET TO COME – THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!
You have much more planning, learning and living to do which will last your entire life. Enjoy those experiences as much as you have these past 7 months.
Meeting a lovely lady with whom to share the remainder of your life experiences will indeed take much thought. She is waiting for you somewhere, someday.
Love,
MiMi and Pappy

So, so happy that you guys made it home! And early to boot!! You are both very impressive young men who have made a remarkable difference in this old world. Thank you for spread the word about WS. Kevin it was an honor to meet and get to know you at the Anaheim conference. I can’t wait to see what you have planned next in your life. Give mamma Debbie an extra hug from me and let her know that I said that she raised some amazing boys!

Kevin, Dan (and the pups),
I feel very fortunate to have met you two young men. God bless both of you. Traveling with you from Wooster to Alliance (in search of a bike store) ended up an inspiration. Thank you for who you are and what you are doing. May your journey continue to be safe.

We are so impressed with the western and mid western hospitality which you have experienced. How nice the people there have been to you, Dan and now the 2 pups!
The awareness for Williams Syndrome you have spread is astronomical! Keep up the good work and always be grateful to those who have helped you along your journey.
You both keep safe and we love you.

Hey, Kevin, when are they going to correct the amount of funds you’ve raised for WSA? It is over $10,500. Good job on your part. We loved the picture of the jets flying over Natty Boh. That’s where MiMi works part-time and the owner of Brewers Hill and some of the people there have been great contributors to WSA thanks to your efforts.
The WSA picnic was great yesterday. A lot of new faces and some we’ve seen many times over the years. Your Mom, Dad and Jacob did a superb job. Everybody brought a dish and we were stuffed by the time we left. The little WSA children were so cute and came right up to us with their smiles and hugs. They loved the toys, pond, food and all the guests.
You and Dan be safe and keep warm.
Love you,
MiMi and Pappy

Sylvia is visiting us today and loves all your pictures, especially those of Hitch.
Sylvia says “hi and how are you doing, Kevin?”
Hope all is going well and we’ll see you in 2 months. We surely could use your help with our big move to a condo. Sylvia says you need to do some work, too, with the move!
Love and be safe,

You probably don’t remember the time we had a big cookout at our house and Jacob (no more than 3 yrs old) went missing. We sent people in all directions searching for Jake (good thing for teenage company since they run well). We found him knocking on someone’s door after he had crossed 2 streets. Uncle Warren & Aunt Sherry’s kids were great runners. He loved to wander so he could talk to as many people as he could find. Kept life interesting.
Be good, keep safe as an angel is on each of your shoulders.

Our traveling friends, Walt and Wand and their daughter, Dawn, follow you almost daily. They’ve sent some money to help you and Dan with food. We deposited it today in your debit account.

My name is Jeff Conway and you stopped in my old fire station in Pensacola the other day. The crew that you encountered were amazed by you and your cause. They ended up passing on the story to me. I am dissapointed I did not get to meet you personally, but would like to help out as much as I am able. I looked at your intended route and may have some people out on the west coast that can provide some sort of aid. I will be reaching out to them shortly and keep you updated. Good luck on your journey in the meantime. You are doing a fantastic job at raising the level of awareness.

  1. I am so impressed with your dedication to such a important cause and to give so much of yourself to assist others in need.

    Nice work BOYS!!!

  2. I noticed your route has changed and you won’t be going through North Platte ( my mom’s ) but it looks like now you will likely be coming through Norfolk (west of O’Neill)which is where we live.. We would love to host you and feed you and get a picnic or something together.. let me know if you are interested

  3. Just saw you on the news with your little lady and she reminded me of my own rescued girl so I had to check out what you are doing more in depth…let me just say your journey is really awesome and to see someone working so hard towards a goal is inspiring! Good luck on your long ride and I know you will experience a love like no other from your tiny “hitch” hiker…there is nothing more loyal and loving than a rescued dog! You have for sure been blessed with your companion as a reward for the love you have put into your mission, and I wish you all the best in reaching your goals and raising awareness and funds for your cause!

  4. Will you be traveling through Kentucky to ohio on September 6th? If so we’d love to set up a “stop” for for you.

  5. It was great to meet you at Tranter’s today and share a meal with you. God bless you on this journey! You’re a remarkable young man and we were blessed by your story.
