5.13 The Start

Even though the road that leads close to the Summit of Springer Mountain is only about 20 miles from the hotel, it took at least an hour to get here.  Most of the time was on the 7 mile dirt road climbing the mountain.  Mom was driving. Mimi was hilarious.

I did not get much sleep last night, so excited and worried if I have everything I need, if I have too much.

5.11.15 Getting ready

Preparing for the trip, making sure I have everything I need is going to be key.  My backpack is stuffed and ready to go.  All 58 lbs of it.

Packing to leave.

After packing, Jake and I and some friends went to the cliffs.  I figured I would make the last swim for a while an epic one.
